The trend was picked up by the market with the loungeparadise product series as an answer to the need for places of refuge. Product development challenges included a visual USP and reliable, high quality production, also in larger quantities. Efficient producers were found through the extensive network. REINHARD GERLING found more than 200 trade partners in the first season alone.

The question of what markets could be of interest for a grilliput came up at the IENA inventors’ trade fair back in 2003.
